"POND", single channel video, 6:34 min, 2013

The POND captures moments missed, now that our individual and collective attention has eroded, and explores voyeurism: both by the viewer and the POND. Nothing much happens. If you watch closely you might spot a beaver, maybe even connect which birds are making the ruckus, but mostly the pond carries on, while the viewer impatiently waits for something to happen. The lake surface, mirrors more than the shrubbery above it. In the expanse of the 6 plus minutes, the image slowly moves in, as if the pond is having a closer look at the viewer, a more patient gaze.

POND will be participating in Currents 2015 New Media Festival, this coming June.
